Learn how to set up and get the most out of Viktor.

Settings Overview

Every settings screen in the Viktor web app, where to find it, and who can open it.

Settings in the Viktor web app hold your personal options, your workspace's configuration, and API access. Some tabs are only shown to admins, and some only appear when they apply to your workspace.

Open Settings

  1. Open the account menu in the app sidebar.
  2. Select Settings.

You can also go straight to app.viktor.com/settings. It opens the Model tab (/settings/general). The settings sidebar groups tabs under Personal, Workspace, API and Experimental.

The same account menu has Archived chats, Help center, Support, and Sign out. To sign out, open the account menu and select Sign out.

The Team page itself, where you invite and manage people, is in the main app sidebar rather than in Settings: app.viktor.com/settings/team. Everyone can view it; the management actions are admin only. See Team members and roles.

Team settings cards

The page includes these cards:

  • Team information: your team's name and avatar. Members see "Ask a team admin to edit your team's name or avatar."
  • Chat platform: which chat platform Viktor runs in (the Slack connection for a Slack workspace, the Teams connection for a Teams one, or connect buttons if none is connected).
  • Automatic teammate invites: when on, Viktor DMs people in your connected Slack workspace inviting them to join your team. The switch is disabled for members.
  • Skill refining: lets Viktor improve Shared workspace skills and Personal preference skills in the background overnight. The switches are disabled for members. See Skills.
  • Team ID: an identifier to reference when contacting support, with a Copy button. You also enter it on the enterprise SSO sign-in page.

API

These tabs appear for everyone. On the free plan the API Keys tab shows an upgrade prompt instead of the key list.

Quick Start/settings/api-quick-startReady-made setup for connecting via MCP. See MCP server.
API Keys/settings/api-keysCreate, edit, rotate, revoke and delete keys. See Public API.
Docs/settings/api-docsThe interactive API reference

Anyone on a paid plan can create a Personal API key. Only admins can create a Team API key; others see "Only team admins can generate team API keys." Key management is covered in Public API → Manage keys.

Experimental

TabRouteWhat it holds
Voice/settings/voiceVoice model and Spoken voice for talking to Viktor
Phone/settings/phoneTalk to Viktor from your phone: a setup code, or Copy setup link, for an iPhone shortcut that sends Viktor voice requests. Setting it up creates a personal API key for the shortcut.

Limits by plan and permission

  • Admin-only tabs (Permissions, Usage, Audit Logs) are hidden from members. Members who open Usage by link are sent back to the dashboard.
  • Model is visible to everyone, but members see "Only workspace admins can change model settings. Ask an admin to update the default model or command overrides."
  • Audit Logs needs an Enterprise workspace. See Audit logs.
  • Slack-specific sections, such as Slack Connection and most of Permissions, only appear in Slack workspaces.

Common problems

  • A tab is missing: it is admin only, or it doesn't apply to your workspace. Ask an admin, or check the tables above.
  • You can't edit a setting: the control is disabled for members. Ask an admin to change it or to make you an admin.
  • You can't find a setting: search for it in the command menu. Results jump straight to the matching section, and sections you can't open are not listed.
