Connect Your Tools

Find an app on the Integrations page, connect it from the web or from a link Viktor sends in chat, and choose who can use it.

Viktor works in the apps your team already uses. You connect each app once, through that app's own sign-in, and Viktor can then use it in chat, in scheduled tasks and in automations. You can connect from the Integrations page, or from a connect button Viktor sends you when he needs an app.

The Integrations page

Open Integrations. The page lists apps in these sections, top to bottom:

Tools you said you use: apps you named during onboarding but didn't connect yet. Select Remove {name} on a card to send it back to the normal list.
Recommended: up to 12 apps your team talks about in Slack that Viktor isn't connected to yet. Select Discard {name} to hide a suggestion; the app moves back to All. This section only appears when there are suggestions.
Needs attention: connected apps with an account that has to be reconnected. See Manage integrations.
Connected: apps with at least one working account.
All: the rest of the catalog. More cards load as you scroll, or select Load more.

Search

Type in the search box at the top. Results appear as one list, with your connected apps first, under a line like Showing 4 results for "crm". If nothing matches, you see No integrations found matching "…".

Connect an app from the web

On Integrations, select the app's card.
The dialog Connect a {app} account opens. Enter a Nickname for this account. Viktor suggests one, such as "Team's Account" or "Alex's Account". The nickname tells your accounts apart, so it has to be unique for that app.
Choose who can use it (see below).
Select Continue to {app}. The app's sign-in opens in a new window or in the same tab.
Sign in and approve the access Viktor asks for.

While the sign-in window is open, the button reads Waiting for {app}... and the dialog updates on its own once you finish.

monday.com and Atlassian open a short instructions dialog first instead of the nickname dialog. Those connections are always shared with the whole workspace.

Choose who can use it

In Slack and Microsoft Teams workspaces, the dialog asks Who can use it?:

Everyone in the workspace: anyone can use it through Viktor.
Private (Invite only) (Private in Microsoft Teams): only you and the people you add can use it. You can add people later on the account's Access tab.

Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Outlook, Outlook Calendar, IMAP and Supermemory start as private. Everything else starts as Everyone in the workspace. If you share Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets or OneDrive with everyone, a warning reminds you that the files that account can see become accessible to your whole team.

Other workspaces don't show this choice. Their connections are shared with the whole workspace. To change access later, see Integration permissions.

Connect an app from chat

When you ask for something that needs an app you haven't connected, Viktor explains why he needs it and sends a connect button, for example 🔌 Connect Linear. In Slack it's a button in the message, in Microsoft Teams it's a card, and in the Viktor app it's a connect card with the app's name and description.

Select the button. The app's page opens in the Viktor web app.
Select Connect {app}, then fill in the same nickname and access choice as above.
Sign in to the app and approve access.

When you finish, Viktor picks up the original request where he left off. There are exceptions:

GitHub, Google Drive and OneDrive don't resume the conversation on their own. Reply in the thread once you've connected, and Viktor carries on.
A conversation in the Viktor app only resumes for the person who started it.
Nothing resumes while your workspace is out of credits.

If the app is already connected, the link takes you straight to its accounts page. monday.com and Atlassian show This integration requires additional setup steps. with a Set up {app} button that takes you to the Integrations page.

In Slack, you need a Viktor account to connect an app. If you don't have one yet, Viktor can invite you first. In Microsoft Teams, you sign in with your Microsoft account.

A link for a different workspace

If the link belongs to a workspace other than the one you're signed in to, you see This link is for another workspace, with a You're in and a Link is for preview. Select Switch to {workspace}, or Sign in to switch if you aren't signed in to that workspace in this browser. Then connect from there.

After you connect

Viktor explores a newly connected app in the background. He uses read-only tools to learn how your account is set up (its structure, key IDs and working examples) and writes it down in his notes for that integration, so he doesn't have to rediscover it on every request. If the exploration fails, the connection still works.

Limits

Permission: an admin can stop members from connecting new apps. Members then see Connecting new integrations is restricted to admins in your workspace. You can still use the integrations your team has already connected., and the connect buttons are disabled. See Integration permissions.
Credits: a conversation doesn't resume after a connect while your workspace is out of credits. In a new workspace with no paid plan or credits yet, Viktor waits to explore a new app until the workspace's starter credits unlock. See Plans and credits.

Common problems

"We couldn't connect {app}": the sign-in didn't finish. Select Try again. Trying again usually fixes it.
Microsoft asks for admin approval: some Microsoft tenants need an admin to approve the app first. The dialog explains this, and trying again won't help until an admin approves it.
Google says "Access blocked": your Google Workspace admin may restrict third-party apps. See Fix Access blocked when signing in with Google.
The link says "Integration Not Found": the app doesn't exist or isn't available to your workspace. Select View All Integrations and search for it.
The app isn't in the catalog: connect it yourself as a Custom API or a custom MCP server. See Custom integrations.
