Canvases
Work with Viktor on a visual board in the web app, where he lays out designs, notes, images and live websites as blocks.
A canvas is a board of blocks that Viktor lays out while you talk with him in the web app. Use it when you want to see work side by side: design options, notes, images or a live website. The canvas is yours: other members only see it once it's shared with them. You can move blocks and edit notes yourself.
Open your canvas with Infinity
- Open the Viktor web app.
- In the sidebar, select Infinity. It sits next to Chat at the top of the sidebar.
- A voice call with Viktor starts, and your canvas appears as the call's screen.
Each person has one canvas. Viktor organizes it in layers, one topic per layer, instead of opening a new canvas for every topic.
What Viktor puts on a canvas
A canvas holds five kinds of blocks:
- HTML: content Viktor designs, such as a mockup, a chart or a summary card.
- Note: a sticky note with short text that people edit themselves.
- Image: a picture.
- Frame: a large labeled area, such as "Option A" or "Approved", that groups the blocks placed inside it.
- Website: a live web page embedded in the canvas. Some sites refuse to be embedded.
Ask for what you want to see: "put three landing page headlines side by side" or "show the signup funnel next to last month's." Viktor updates blocks in place and leaves blocks where people moved them.
Limits
- A canvas holds up to 200 blocks and 2 MB of content in total. Past that, Viktor has to remove blocks or split the work.
- In the web app, a canvas opens only for its owner, its access manager and the people it's shared with (specific members). Other workspace members don't see it, even when its access is set to workspace members. There is no public option.
- Only the canvas's access manager or a workspace admin can change who can open it. If someone else asks Viktor to, he replies that only the access manager or a workspace admin can change it, and leaves the canvas as it was.
- Only the canvas's access manager or a workspace admin can delete a canvas, whatever its access setting.
- Viktor won't read or change a canvas that someone has archived. He works on the canvas you have open instead.
Common problems
- A website block stays blank. The site refuses to be shown inside another page. Ask Viktor to open it in a browser session and show that instead.
- Viktor says the canvas is full. It has reached 200 blocks or 2 MB. Ask him to clear old blocks or close a layer you're done with.
- Viktor says he can't change access or delete the canvas. Ask the canvas's access manager or a workspace admin to do it.
