Templates are ready-made automations. When you install one, Viktor asks you a few questions and then creates a normal scheduled task from your answers. You manage that task like any other.

Where to find templates

• In the web app, open Tasks and select New task. The dialog lists Templates, with a search box.
• In the Marketplace, each template has its own page with what it does, the tools it Works with, and an Install button.

You can browse the Marketplace templates without signing in. Installing one asks you to sign up or sign in first.

Install a template from the Tasks page

1. Open Tasks and select New task.
2. Search or scroll, and select a template.
3. Select Set up task.
4. If the template recommends tools you haven't connected, you are asked to connect them one by one. Select Connect followed by the tool's name, or Skip this tool.
5. You see that the task is running. Select Done to close, or Chat with Viktor to continue in Slack.

Install a template from the Marketplace

1. Open the template's page in the Marketplace.
2. Select Install.

What happens after you install

1. Viktor sends you a message that setup started: a DM in Slack, or a chat in Microsoft Teams if you signed in with a Microsoft account. If neither can be reached, setup continues in the web app, where the setup conversation shows in your chat list.
2. He asks for the details he needs, such as sources, timing and where to post.
3. He creates the scheduled task. It then shows on the Tasks page like any other task.

To change the task later, reply to Viktor or edit it on the Tasks page.

Run setup again

A template you have installed shows Installed, and its button changes to Rerun setup. Select it to go through the setup conversation again.

Stop or remove a template's task

There is no separate uninstall. To stop the automation, pause or delete the task it created. The template may still show as Installed afterwards.

Limits

• You need to be signed in to a workspace to install a template.
• Some templates install for you only, some for the whole team. Viktor uses the scope the template is built for.
• Installing a template you already installed in the same scope does not create a second copy. It opens the existing install.
• The task a template creates uses credits on each run, like any scheduled task.

Common problems

• "Sign in to install this template." Sign in, then install again.
• "Couldn't start setup. Please try again." Select Try again. If it keeps failing, ask Viktor in chat to set up the task instead.
• You didn't get a setup message. In Slack or Teams, check your DMs with Viktor. If your workspace has neither connected, look for the setup conversation in the web app.
