Besides working with your connected tools, Viktor has built-in skills for common kinds of work. You don't turn them on. Ask for the result you want, and Viktor picks the approach. This page describes what he does when asked. Results depend on the request, so check his work as you would a teammate's.

## Research with current information

Ask a question that needs up-to-date facts, for example _"What changed in the EU AI Act this month?"_ Viktor searches the web and answers with sources. He can run a more detailed search when richer evidence is worth it, and a live search when the answer must reflect a page right now, such as prices or availability.

## Word, Excel and PowerPoint files

1. Attach the file, or describe the document you want.
2. Say what to change or create.
3. Viktor sends the finished file back in the conversation.

- **Word (.docx):** Viktor edits the text while keeping the existing formatting.
- **Excel (.xlsx, .xlsm):** he prefers formulas over fixed values, so the sheet keeps updating. Macros in .xlsm files are kept.
- **PowerPoint (.pptx):** he renders the deck and checks every slide before sending it.

## PDF decks, reports and forms

- **Decks and reports:** ask for a PDF deck or report. Decks are 1920×1080. Reports are US Letter portrait, or A4 when you ask for it.
- **Forms:** send a PDF form and the information to fill in. Viktor fills fillable fields directly. If the PDF has no fillable fields, he places the text on the page.
- **Signatures:** Viktor can sign a PDF by adding your signature drawn in a handwriting-style font. Don't rely on it where a certified digital signature is required.

## Images, voice and transcripts

- **Images:** Viktor creates new images, edits images you send, or combines several into one. Square (1:1), landscape (3:2) and portrait (2:3) formats are available, with an optional transparent background. For charts with exact values, he draws them with code instead.
- **Voiceover:** he turns text into speech, with a choice of 20 named voices.
- **Transcripts:** he transcribes audio files. When two or more people speak, the transcript labels each speaker.

## Video

- **Make a video:** Viktor can generate video from a text description or from images. For precise, editable video, such as animated text, product demos, charts or captions, he builds it as a HyperFrames composition (a video made from HTML).
- **Watch a video:** upload an mp4, webm, mov, mpeg or avi file and ask about it. Recordings under about 45 minutes work best.
- **Video links:** paste a YouTube, TikTok or similar link and ask for a summary, transcript, quotes or a clip.

## Work on websites without an API

When a task needs a website that has no integration, Viktor uses a real browser in the cloud. He can navigate pages, fill in forms, take screenshots and download files.

## Change code and open pull requests

1. Connect GitHub in [Integrations](https://app.viktor.com/integrations). Viktor asks you to connect it if you haven't.
2. Ask for the change, for example _"Fix the typo in the README of acme/web and open a PR."_
3. Viktor clones the repository, works on a new branch, commits as Viktor, pushes and opens a pull request.

Viktor follows the repository's own `AGENTS.md` or `CLAUDE.md` instructions when it has them.

Access is per person: Viktor can only work on a repository for you if a GitHub connection you are allowed to use has access to it.

## Split big jobs across helpers

For large jobs with independent parts, such as long research, Viktor can start 1 to 8 helpers at a time, each working in its own context. The helpers report back to Viktor, and he writes the single reply you see.

By default, helpers only read and research. They can't send messages or email, or change your connected tools, unless the task needs that and Viktor gives them permission. Helpers can't start helpers of their own.

## Limits by plan and permission

- **Plan:** these skills are available on every plan. Every task uses credits. See [plans and credits](/docs/plans-and-credits).
- **Permission:** code work needs a GitHub connection you are allowed to use, with access to the repository. Actions that need approval still wait for it (see [approvals](/docs/approvals)).

## Common problems

**Viktor can't access my repository.** None of the GitHub connections you can use has access to that repository. Connect a GitHub account that does.

**The PDF signature isn't accepted as a digital signature.** Viktor draws the signature in a handwriting-style font. Use a dedicated e-signature tool when you need a certified signature.

**Viktor gave an answer without current data.** Ask him to search the web for the latest information.
