Settings in the Viktor web app hold your personal options, your workspace's configuration, and API access. Some tabs are only shown to admins, and some only appear when they apply to your workspace.

## Open Settings

1. Open the account menu in the app sidebar.
2. Select **Settings**.

You can also go straight to [app.viktor.com/settings](https://app.viktor.com/settings). It opens the **Model** tab (`/settings/general`). The settings sidebar groups tabs under **Personal**, **Workspace**, **API** and **Experimental**.

The same account menu has **Archived chats**, **Help center**, **Support**, and **Sign out**. To sign out, open the account menu and select **Sign out**.

## Personal

| Tab | Route | Who sees it | What it holds |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **My account** | [/settings/account](https://app.viktor.com/settings/account) | Everyone | **App language**, the **Slack Connection** card, and account deletion under **Danger zone** |
| **Keyboard shortcuts** | [/settings/shortcuts](https://app.viktor.com/settings/shortcuts) | Everyone | **General shortcuts**, plus **Chat shortcuts** where chat in the web app is available |

**App language** changes the language of buttons, menus and other interface text in the app. Languages your browser or profile suggest are listed first.

## Workspace

| Tab | Route | Who sees it | What it holds |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Model** | [/settings/general](https://app.viktor.com/settings/general) | Everyone; only admins can change it | The workspace default model and the fast and deep reply models. See [Chat commands](/docs/chat-commands). |
| **Behavior** | [/settings/behavior](https://app.viktor.com/settings/behavior) | Everyone | **Personalization**, **Emoji in chat titles**, **Chat window size**. See [Personalize Viktor](/docs/personalize-viktor). |
| **Team settings** | [/settings/team/settings](https://app.viktor.com/settings/team/settings) | Everyone on a team; most cards are admin-editable only | **Team information**, **Chat platform**, **Automatic teammate invites**, **Skill refining**, **Team ID** |
| **Permissions** | [/settings/permissions](https://app.viktor.com/settings/permissions) | Admins | See [Workspace permissions](/docs/workspace-permissions) |
| **Audit Logs** | [/settings/audit-logs](https://app.viktor.com/settings/audit-logs) | Admins of workspaces where audit logs are available | See [Audit logs](/docs/audit-logs) |
| **Usage** | [/usage](https://app.viktor.com/usage) | Admins | **Overview**, **Team usage**, **Activity**, **Task usage**, **Space usage**, **Usage reports**. See [Check usage](/docs/check-usage). |
| **Billing** | [/settings/subscription](https://app.viktor.com/settings/subscription) | Everyone; the **Auto top-ups** section is admin only | **Current plan**, **Credits**, **Auto top-ups**, **Get free credits**. See [Manage subscription](/docs/manage-subscription). |

The **Team** page itself, where you invite and manage people, is in the main app sidebar rather than in Settings: [app.viktor.com/settings/team](https://app.viktor.com/settings/team). Everyone can view it; the management actions are admin only. See [Team members and roles](/docs/team-members-and-roles).

### Team settings cards

The page includes these cards:

- **Team information**: your team's name and avatar. Members see "Ask a team admin to edit your team's name or avatar."
- **Chat platform**: which chat platform Viktor runs in (the Slack connection for a Slack workspace, the Teams connection for a Teams one, or connect buttons if none is connected).
- **Automatic teammate invites**: when on, Viktor DMs people in your connected Slack workspace inviting them to join your team. The switch is disabled for members.
- **Skill refining**: lets Viktor improve **Shared workspace skills** and **Personal preference skills** in the background overnight. The switches are disabled for members. See [Skills](/docs/skills).
- **Team ID**: an identifier to reference when contacting support, with a **Copy** button. You also enter it on the [enterprise SSO](/docs/enterprise-sso) sign-in page.

## API

These tabs appear for everyone. On the free plan the API Keys tab shows an upgrade prompt instead of the key list.

| Tab | Route | What it holds |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Quick Start** | [/settings/api-quick-start](https://app.viktor.com/settings/api-quick-start) | Ready-made setup for connecting via MCP. See [MCP server](/docs/mcp-server). |
| **API Keys** | [/settings/api-keys](https://app.viktor.com/settings/api-keys) | Create, edit, rotate, revoke and delete keys. See [Public API](/docs/public-api). |
| **Docs** | [/settings/api-docs](https://app.viktor.com/settings/api-docs) | The interactive API reference |

Anyone on a paid plan can create a **Personal API key**. Only admins can create a **Team API key**; others see "Only team admins can generate team API keys." Key management is covered in [Public API → Manage keys](/docs/public-api).

## Experimental

| Tab | Route | What it holds |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Voice** | [/settings/voice](https://app.viktor.com/settings/voice) | **Voice model** and **Spoken voice** for talking to Viktor |
| **Phone** | [/settings/phone](https://app.viktor.com/settings/phone) | **Talk to Viktor from your phone**: a setup code, or **Copy setup link**, for an iPhone shortcut that sends Viktor voice requests. Setting it up creates a personal API key for the shortcut. |

## Limits by plan and permission

- Admin-only tabs (**Permissions**, **Usage**, **Audit Logs**) are hidden from members. Members who open **Usage** by link are sent back to the dashboard.
- **Model** is visible to everyone, but members see "Only workspace admins can change model settings. Ask an admin to update the default model or command overrides."
- **Audit Logs** needs an Enterprise workspace. See [Audit logs](/docs/audit-logs).
- Slack-specific sections, such as **Slack Connection** and most of **Permissions**, only appear in Slack workspaces.

## Common problems

- **A tab is missing**: it is admin only, or it doesn't apply to your workspace. Ask an admin, or check the tables above.
- **You can't edit a setting**: the control is disabled for members. Ask an admin to change it or to make you an admin.
- **You can't find a setting**: search for it in the command menu. Results jump straight to the matching section, and sections you can't open are not listed.
