Viktor is priced in credits. Your workspace buys a monthly plan, and everyone in the workspace draws from the same pool of credits. There are no per-seat charges.

## How plans work

- **Per workspace, not per seat.** The Billing page describes this as **Shared workspace credits**: "All plans share credits across your entire Slack or Teams workspace. No per-seat limits — everyone can work with Viktor."
- **One rate on every plan.** Every current plan costs $25 per 10,000 credits, which is $2.50 per 1,000 credits.
- **Monthly billing.** Plans renew every month, and each renewal adds the plan's monthly credits.
- **New plans are monthly only.** Annual plans are no longer offered. See [manage your subscription](/docs/manage-subscription#annual-plans).

The plan picker shows the plans available to your workspace; for some workspaces the smallest plan offered is $100 per month.

Older plans that are no longer offered can stay on existing subscriptions. When you change plan, you pick from the current list. The plan picker marks an old plan as **Legacy plan — select a different plan**.

For discounts or a custom agreement, ask Viktor about the Enterprise plan. He passes you to the sales team.

## Choose a plan

1. Open **Billing** at [app.viktor.com/settings/subscription](https://app.viktor.com/settings/subscription). The page title is **Billing & Credits**.
2. If your workspace has no subscription, the page shows the plans. Otherwise, click **Upgrade your plan**.
3. In **Choose your plan**, pick the monthly credits you want. The dialog shows the price and what you pay today.
4. Confirm. A new subscription finishes in Stripe Checkout. An existing subscription is updated in place.

## Starter credits

A new workspace gets one-time free starter credits, so you can try Viktor before you pay. The amount depends on how the workspace signed up. Your balance is on the Billing page.

On the free Starter plan, the plan card shows what an upgrade unlocks:

- **Shared workspace credits**
- **Top-up credits unavailable**
- **Credit roll-over unavailable**

When starter credits run out, Viktor pauses until you choose a plan. See [running out of credits](/docs/running-out-of-credits).

## What uses credits

Viktor spends credits when he works: replying in conversations, running [scheduled tasks](/docs/scheduled-tasks), and running Spaces. The cost of each run depends on the work. See where your credits go on the [Usage page](/docs/check-usage).

## Credit types and the order they are spent

Your balance can hold four kinds of credits. Viktor spends them in this order:

1. **Rollover credits**: unused plan credits from your previous billing period.
2. **Plan credits**: this period's monthly credits.
3. **Top-up credits**: credits you bought. They never expire.
4. **Reward credits**: referral and other bonus credits. They never expire.

### Rollover

Paid plans include **Unused credits 1-month roll-over**. At each renewal, the plan credits you did not use carry into the next billing period and are spent first. Rollover lasts one billing period. Rolled-over credits still unused at the next renewal expire, and that period's leftover plan credits take their place.

The free Starter plan has no rollover.

## Rate limits by plan

Viktor limits how often tools and APIs can be called in a time window. The limits scale with your plan:

| entry | Paid plans under 80,000 credits a month | 1x |
| mid | 80,000 to under 300,000 credits a month | 2x |
| high | 300,000 credits a month and more | 4x |
| enterprise | Enterprise agreements | 8x |

When a limit is hit, Viktor gets a message like "Rate limit reached for {subject}. Limit: {n} calls per {window} on the {tier} plan tier. Try again in about {time}." When a higher tier exists, it adds "Upgrading the workspace plan raises this limit to {m} calls per {window}." After a plan change, the new limits apply within about five minutes.

## Limits by plan and permission

- **Admins** choose and change plans. Members see the **Billing access** card: "Only workspace admins can change plans. Ask your admin to upgrade this workspace."
- **Starter** has no top-ups and no rollover.
- **Paid plans** have rollover, top-ups and auto top-ups.
- **Enterprise** agreements can set a minimum plan. Self-serve changes must stay at or above it.

## Common problems

**The plan I saw on the website isn't in the picker.** The picker lists only plans your workspace can buy today. Choose the closest plan from the list.

**The plan dialog says Admin only.** Only admins can change plans. Ask an admin of your workspace.

**Credits I didn't use last month are gone.** Rollover lasts one billing period. Credits that were already rolled over expire at the next renewal. See [when your plan renews and credits reset](/help/category/billing-subscription/when-plan-renews-and-credits-reset).

**Viktor says a rate limit was reached.** Wait for the window to reset, or move to a larger plan. The message names the limit on the next tier.
